The Making Of e-Wallpaper

For the 1st assignment, Lecture ask student to create a digital image as a wallpaper.. The event or theme is MMU FOM Open Day Dated August 1st 2012..  As such, students are asked to create a poster to show the characteristics or features of FOM to advertise or to promote their faculty...

This are steps on creating my e-wallpaper:

STEP 1 :
First, open your Adobe Photoshop CS4, click File> New.. You will find that there is a box of customization.. Change the preset into international then select into A4..

STEP 2 :
For step 2, take a background of blue color and drag it using Gradient tools.. The image size is 2,480 width pixel and 3,508 height pixel...

STEP 3 :
From the Reference folder, I transfer the picture of field which is I want to put at the bottom of the wallpaper background.. I crop the only part I want using Lasso tools with 15px of feather..

STEP 4 :
After copy and paste the field part on the wallpaper, I put some Adjustment on the image such as Brightness/Contrast, Level, Curves, and Exposure to make it more striking..

STEP 5 :
I add wordings using the Type tools>Horizontal Type tools.. I use different kind and different size of Fonts and then change the PINK color on FOM Font to make it more interesting.. I add all the information about needed about the event.. Don't forget to put the TM logo as subsidiary company..

STEP 6 :
I copy the FOM building picture, and paste it inside the main poster.. I use the Magnetic Lasso tool to crop the only building rather than the whole image.. Then, I adjusted the size by click Edit>Free Transform at the same time press the Shift Button to make the image more actual..

STEP 7 :
By using the same technique, I add the mascot of MMU inside the wallpaper and put at the behind of FOM building layer..

STEP 8 :
Lastly, I completed the poster by adding a few more words and information.. After I've finish everything, then I saved it as PSD files and JPEG files in the original size..
